Big Event! Celebrate Our Patron & Say Goodbye to Revd Emma

Hey everyone! Mark your calendars for a special day. On Sunday, July 20th at 2 pm, we're having a combined celebration here at St Mary Magdalene Church.

What's happening?

• We're celebrating St Mary Magdalene, who our church is named after.
• We're also saying a big thank you and farewell to our wonderful Parish Priest, Reverend Emma Hopegood Jones.

Now, St Mary Magdalene's actual feast day is July 22nd. But we picked the 20th at 2pm so more people could come! This way, folks who go to morning services at other churches can still join us. Just a heads-up: we won't have our usual 10 am service on the 20th July.

The service will be a time to remember St Mary Magdalene. She's a really important person in Christian history and means a lot to us here in Welwyn Garden City. It will also be a time to show our appreciation for Revd Emma. She's done so much for our church community and beyond. We really want to give her a warm send-off!

After the service, stick around for afternoon tea. It's a chance to relax, chat, share some good memories, and wish Emma all the best for the future. We love being a friendly church, and this is a great way to experience that. New to the area? Looking for a church nearby? Come on over! You're totally welcome.
